Atelier Circle-Song – Hors Loge

We will continue to explore the bases and the rhythmic and melodic tools for bringing the circle-song into play: what is a circle-song? It is a simple and ancient principle of group singing, much explored by Bobby Mac Ferrin, according to which a group of singers arranged in a circle “rotates” melodic and rhythmic patterns sung, superimposed, without partitions nor words, in order to "weave" a sound carpet. Once this carpet has been created, the singers can, in the center of the circle, if they wish, improvise in turn. Joyful, playful, musical and creative sharing!
