Located at the southwestern end of the Aveyron department, the territory of the Bastides and Gorges of Aveyron will be your ideal nature and heritage destination.
Walking
Our destination is accessible via the GR36 and GR62B, two routes on the Way of Saint James.
- From Cahors: take the GR65, the Puy route, from Cahors to Varaire (with sections classified as UNESCO site no. 868), then GR36 to Villefranche de Rouergue.
- From Albi: follow the GR36, passing through Cordes sur Ciel and Najac to Villefranche de Rouergue.
- From Rodez: take the GR62B passing through Belcastel to Villefranche de Rouergue.
- From Conques: follow the GR62B, passing through Cransac-Les Thermes and Villeneuve d'Aveyron.
By car
- By the A20 motorway
– From the south: exit 61 (Montauban) or exit 59 (Caussade)
– From the north: exit 58 (Cahors-sud / Villefranche de Rouergue) exit 54 (Gouffre de Padirac, Gramat and Rocamadour) then direction Figeac and Villefranche de Rouergue
- By the A75 motorway
– From the north: exit 42 (Séverac le Château)
– From the south: exit 45 (Millau, Saint-Beauzély, Castelnau-Pégayrols)
By bus
Several regional bus lines cross our territory on a daily basis, two of which are main:
- Line 205: Figeac > Villefranche de Rouergue
Stops: Causse-et-Diège, Villeneuve, Saint-Rémy. - Line 203: Rodez > Villefranche de Rouergue > Montauban
Main stops: Rignac, Lanuéjouls, Maleville, Saint-Rémy, Villefranche de Rouergue, Parisot, Caylus, Caussade, Montauban.
By train
Villefranche de Rouergue and Najac are served by train on the Toulouse-Aurillac line.
