Sunset at Calvary
À Villefranche-de-Rouergue, it is on the heights of the city that you can contemplate a superb sunset. From the belvedere, you will see the Aveyron river, the roofs of the bastide and its imposing collegiate church. As night falls, the colors change and the city subtly lights up to reveal the architectural layout of the bastide and the outline of its monuments.

Sunrise in Najac
Our favorite: a misty sunrise over Najac. Little by little, the fog reveals the impressive fortress which overlooks the village and the Aveyron gorges, magical!
Obviously, the sunsets are also very beautiful in Najac! From the Place du Faubourg, facing the perspective formed by the long main street at the end of which the fortress sits, it is almost impossible to resist a little souvenir photo!

Among our favorite viewpoints of the Bastides and Gorges of Aveyron destination: the panoramas over the Lot Valley! In the town of Saujac, you will find two perfect places to watch a sunset: the Saut de la Mounine and the Croix des Belges.

Sunset in Montsalès
A charming and peaceful village in Aveyron, Montsalès also offers a beautiful view of the valley. Forming a terrace on the top of a cliff, the village is recognizable thanks to its tour which now houses an exhibition gallery.

After a stroll along the Viaur, go back up to the village of Bor-and-Bar via the Roc du Gorb and admire beautiful views over the valley.
