Sunset at Calvary
In Villefranche-de-Rouergue , the best place to admire a stunning sunset is from the town's heights. From the viewpoint, you can see the Aveyron River, the rooftops of the bastide town, and its imposing collegiate church. As night falls, the colors shift and the town is subtly illuminated, revealing the architectural layout of the bastide and the outlines of its monuments.

Sunrise in Najac
Our favorite moment: a misty sunrise over Najac . Little by little, the fog reveals the impressive fortress overlooking the village and the Aveyron gorges – magical!
Obviously, the sunsets are also very beautiful in Najac! From the Place du Faubourg, facing the perspective formed by the long main street at the end of which the fortress sits, it is almost impossible to resist a little souvenir photo!
Sunset over the Lot valley
Among our favorite viewpoints in the Bastides and Gorges of Aveyron destination: the panoramas over the Lot valley! In the commune of Saujac , you will find two perfect places to contemplate a sunset: the Saut de la Mounine and the Croix des Belges.

Sunset in Montsalès
The charming and peaceful village of Montsalès in the Aveyron region also offers a beautiful view of the valley. Perched on a terrace atop a cliff, the village is easily recognizable thanks to its tower , which now houses an exhibition gallery.
Sunset over the Viaur valley in Bor-et-Bar
After a walk along the Viaur river, go back up to the village of Bor-et-Bar via the Roc du Gorb and admire beautiful views of the valley.
