What is Contact-Impro?
"Contact improvisation could be defined as a dance-sport which arises from listening and physical contact between two or more partners; a game of gestural and sensory exploration which is invented at every moment, takes on the most varied, and demands to be experienced and shared, like a dialogue. Born from an exploration of the physical forces playing out between two moving bodies, this practice can become relatively physical. It then draws its strength from the finesse of our perceptions and the use of momentum. Close to martial arts and somatic education techniques, its regular practice enriches body awareness, releases unnecessary tensions and gives confidence, strength and stability to the body in movement. It also allows you to rediscover the taste for play and opens up to a completely different mode of communication." I.Uski
