Najac, a hilltop village

The path, carpeted with leaves, accompanies your steps with a slight crunch, while the lower October light highlights the medieval silhouette of the hilltop village.



This hike first takes you to the heights, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the village, enhanced by the colors of autumn. You then descend into the valley to follow the Viaur River. On the wet ground, you sometimes see animal tracks or a heron taking flight, testifying to the richness of this Sensitive Natural Area. Before returning to the village, you are rewarded with superb panoramas over the Viaur valley, where the soft light of the late season highlights the autumnal hues.

Path of the caselles in Villeneuve
This tour begins in the village of Villeneuve d'Aveyron, recently ranked among the most beautiful in France. You then take small paths lined with dry stone walls, punctuated by golden touches in the oaks that announce autumn. A short round trip takes you to charming caselles restored. In the calm of October, take the time to sit on a low wall and enjoy the view of the village and the surrounding countryside, between fields, stones and undergrowth bathed in a soft end-of-season light.
