Your itinerary
Step 1: Departure from the motorhome area

Departure from the campervan area. Cross the small cement bridge, pass in front of the garden of the association "Les Mains des Agiles" then turn left at the cross. After the stadium, turn left. Follow the road along the stadium, then the river for about 300 meters. Pass between the houses. Leave the road and continue on the path that goes slightly to the left along the Assou river for about 1 km 300. You arrive at an old barn located on your right. Take the small path that goes on your right and leave the banks of the Assou.
Step 2: Viewpoint over the hamlets

Continue on this small path that climbs and runs alongside fenced meadows. Viewpoint over the Assou valley and the hamlets of "La Grimaudie" and "Mas de Laborie" (commune of La Rouquette). On the left, you can see the Moulin de Court. At the crossroads, take the path on the right and continue climbing. The path winds through the undergrowth and continues to climb slightly. Arrive at a road called Le Bosc. Leave the hamlet on the right, take the road opposite for 150 m, then turn right into the woods. From here you are also on the GR36, the Way of St. James. Follow the very pleasant, shaded path. View of the hamlet of "La Melle" on the left, and "Les Tempourets" on the right. Arrive at the road.
Step 3: The pointed hut

Turn right along this road. Note, after the second bend, on your left, a viewpoint of the bell tower and the castle of Sanvensa. At the end of the road, you will notice a metal cross on a stone base on your left and on your right a very beautiful barn with a slate roof. Leave the road and take the path opposite for about 2 m., then at the intersection of 200 paths, take the one on the right. Now stay on this path all the way. 4 m further, you pass near a small hut called "the pointed cabin". The very stony path goes back down towards the village. Arriving at the road, turn right. On your right, the Dominican convent and just after on your left, the François Marty high school. Go straight. You are on the Chemin du Mas de Castanié until you return to your starting point on the banks of the Assou.
