Description

This hike will take you to the pre-Romanesque church of Toulongergues, discover the Villeneuve plateau and finish with a visit to the charming village of Saint-Rémy.
This loop is offered to you by the town hall; it is marked in yellow PR with yellow “SR2” type signs.

Your itinerary

Getting to the starting point to report a problem

Step 1: Departure from the carpool parking lot

Departure from the carpool parking lot near the old mill, which has become a restaurant. Leave the restaurant on the right and exit the parking lot towards the road above. Cross the road, the D922, and go up the path opposite on the left. Continue onto the plateau.
At the crossroads, cross the road and continue on the path opposite.

Step 2: Head towards Mas de Caville and the wash house

At the intersection, take the road on the left towards Mas de Caville. Go down the road and before the main road, take the small path below on the left (pass under the cattle duct). Continue along the path until you reach the road, cross it, turn left and immediately take the path opposite. At the next intersection, take the path that goes up to the right (leave the GR on the left). At the end of this path, turn right and continue following the markings.

Step 3: Head towards the pre-Romanesque church of Toulongergues

When you reach the road, turn left. Cross the village of Toulongergues, go down, see the pre-Romanesque church on the left, and go down the path. At the road, turn right and continue until you reach a path that goes up to the left.

Step 4: Head towards Saint-Rémy and return to the carpooling area

Cross Le Puech. At the road, turn left. Continue and take the path on the right. Go down to Saint-Rémy. At the washhouse, turn right and continue straight ahead. Return via the path on the left after the housing estate, which runs alongside the main road to the starting point.
