Description
You will alternate between pleasant passages in the well-shaded undergrowth and clear sections on the plateau; from there you will have numerous viewpoints over the surrounding countryside: the Ségala!
You will be able to observe farms and houses with magnificent slate roofs typical of the area.

Your itinerary
Step 1: Departure from the Morlhon le Haut leisure area
From the lake, head towards Pelras or Chemin de Pelras. Cross the hamlet. When you reach the Altec factory and a road, turn right. Further on, there is an intersection; turn right towards Le Piboul. Go down and up to some houses. Take the wide path opposite between the two houses. Go down towards a stream. Cross it and follow it. Walk through the undergrowth. When you reach the road, turn right. Be careful! Heavy traffic. 2st road on the left towards Le Verdier. Cross the hamlet. At the intersection, turn left towards Chemin du Moulin.
Step 2: From Le Verdier towards Mas del Sol and Bruyéras
Follow the road downhill. Passing by a small private lake. At the next intersection, turn right onto the road that climbs; not straight ahead. When you reach an intersection with a farm and large sheds, turn right. Stay on the road. Walk alongside a chestnut grove, then turn left towards Chemin du Bruyéras. Further on, on your right, you'll see views of Marmont and its church. At the end of the path, take the road on the right. Then take the first path on your left after the farm. Walk down towards a small stream. Cross it.
Stage 3: From Mas de Mouly to Marmont
Go under the porch of the house. Turn immediately left. Climb the few steps. Turn right. In the center of the hamlet, turn right again to take the wide path. Continue on this track until Marmont. At the first crossroads, turn straight ahead. Pass in front of the entrance to Lézard Vacances. At the crossroads, go straight ahead to the church of Marmont. Return to the crossroads, turn left onto the road. After the cemetery and before the bend, go down the path on the left. Go down. Cross a stream and go back up opposite.
Stage 4: Return to Lake Morlhon le Haut and the leisure area
A little further on, find the road again. You are on the Marmont road. Continue straight ahead until you return to Lake Morlhon le Haut. Watch out for the crossroads and the crossing of the D69 road at Baraque de Bonnes. Still on the road, go back down towards the lake. Leave the road to return to the lake by following its banks on the left side. Cross the wooden footbridge to go back up to the parking lot. If you don't have a mountain bike, you can also return by road without using the banks of the lake.
