Description

On the Villeneuve d'Aveyron causse, a fairly easy circuit with only 100 m of elevation gain and little road crossing (2 departmental road crossings).
This hike will allow you to discover this limestone plateau formed several tens of millions of years ago; it contains a rich natural and cultural heritage and extends from the Villefranche-de-Rouergue geological fault to the Lot River and the villages of Saint-Jean-de-Laur, Laramière and Martiel.
PR marked in yellow by volunteers from the “Le Randonneur” association according to the FFRandonnée charter.
Follow the V1 markings from the Sol de la dîme car park.

Your itinerary

Getting to the starting point to report a problem

Step 1: Departure from the Sol de la dîme car park

At the end of the Sol de la dîme car park (north side) take the pedestrian access. Follow the markings. Cross the road and take Rue du Sapin Vert opposite, then after 200 m, take a path on the right that leads to the RD 40. Stay on the shoulder on the left to take a tarmac path marked V100 1 m further on opposite the football pitch. Follow the yellow markings until the junction with the V1bis circuit. Continue the path to the right for 2 km until the RD545 and follow the path opposite to its end. Turn left towards Les Encastrades.

Step 2: Cross the road and leave the hamlet of Encastrades

Cross the RD922 (be careful, heavy traffic), to take the tarmac road opposite to the Septfonds wash house. Turn right then immediately left onto the path that runs alongside the first house. Cross the D1 and follow the signs opposite, then turn left.

Step 3: From the hamlet of Sept Fonds towards Villeneuve

Follow the marked path for about 3 km to the Grèzes activity zone. Continue straight on and then you will find one of the Sauveté crosses on your left.

Step 4: From the Sauveté cross return to Villeneuve

From the cross, take the tarmac road on the right to the RD922. From there, take the tarmac road opposite which goes up towards the Sol de la Dîme car park.
