About

Discover a unique place where religious architecture dialogues with contemporary art, nestled in lush greenery: a landscaped park complete with a garden of a thousand roses.

Founded in the XNUMXth century, embellished in the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries and
partly dismantled during the Revolution, the abbey of Beaulieu-en-
Rouergue has been fortunately restored from the years
1960. The church, built in the XNUMXth century, forms, with the chapter house
and the cellar, a unit faithful to the Cistercian spirit.

Closed from November 2019 to June 2022, the Center des monuments nationaux has initiated a restoration and development policy for the abbey in order to
to present a rich collection of modern art in an original museum itinerary, devices devoted to the ancient history of the monument, the development of exhibition spaces and the enhancement of the gardens.
