Here, the tall grass isn't an oversight: it's a choice 🌿
From the end of June, the Intercommunal Syndicate for the Management of Lake Bannac practices late mowing to protect biodiversity.
Please stay on the paths and respect the unmown areas: they are home to flowers, insects, birds and small animals.
For your comfort, consider wearing trousers and closed shoes.

What is the purpose of late mowing?

Late mowing is a practice that helps preserve biodiversity by respecting the natural rhythms of life. Vegetation is only cut at the end of its life cycle (germination, growth, flowering, fruiting), thus allowing for the reproduction of associated animals.
