At the water's edge

Description

The tour of the lake is easy, a pleasant family walk, and a playground to entertain the little ones. Swimming and boats are prohibited on the lake. Fishing is permitted during the opening season. You can extend the walk by taking the marked path that leads you to the heart of a chestnut grove and then descending via the "Roman road." Be respectful and keep your dogs on a leash when walking along a field where a herd is grazing.
This loop has been marked as PR Yellow by the Town Hall of La Fouillade.

Getting to the starting point to report a problem

Step 1: Departure from the parking lot

From the car park along the Rouergue road, go down to the left, towards the lake and the playground. Take it on your left, pass over the dike. At the end of it, turn right while continuing to follow the lake.

Step 2: Leave the lake

Before the next bend, leave the lake by taking a hidden path on your left through the woods. Go back up through the chestnut grove to reach a field. Go to the hedge opposite and follow the hedge on the right to go back up into the field and find the path that climbs into the chestnut grove.
At the next intersection with a path, go back down on your right, taking the old Roman path which is stoned.

Step 3: Return to the parking lot

You will find the road that you will take on your right to arrive in the Cavagnal subdivision. Leave the campsite on your right, take the road opposite then right towards rue de Œillets then left towards the playground and go back up to the car park where you are parked.
