Chemin des Sauvetés de Villeneuve d'Aveyron à Sainte Croix
Route details
Description
This route served as the basis for the Roman road from Rodez to Cahors (Ségodunum-Divona) and by extension from Lyon to Bordeaux (Lugdunum-Burdigala). From the second half of the 10th century this path was the original route of the "Via Podiensis", the most direct route between St-Foy-de-Conques and St-Pierre-de-Moissac.
Easy, unmarked circuit. Created by the town halls of Sainte Croix and Villeneuve. Return trip on the same path. Total length: 14 km.

Go back and take the straight path opposite which leads to the RD 76.
Turn right, following the road carefully for 100m, until you reach the Notre-Dame de Grâces chapel.
Step 3: From the chapel towards Sainte Croix

Carefully cross the road and take the path that climbs the ridge, which you should follow for 3 km to the Sainte-Croix stadium.
Take the tarmac road on the right for 50 m, then turn left onto the other tarmac road, which you can follow for 300 m.
At the bend, take the path that goes down to the road, turn left and after 100 m take the path on the left that leads to the Sauveté de Sainte-Croix cross.
