Circuit to discover the Najac countryside with beautiful landscapes and some curiosities. A good half of the circuit is on small country roads.
Start of the hike opposite the entrance to Camping le Païsserou, at the bottom of Najac. Possibility to park 200 meters further in the parking lot of the outdoor base (AAGAC).
Descend towards the river for 150 meters along the D39 then cross the Frégère bridge. Stay on the D39 for another 100 meters and turn right towards Espanié, Mouyragues.
Climb the small, very steep road for 100 meters, then continue on the paved path which continues to climb up to a wide path.
At this crossroads, turn right and continue to climb. You can see on the other side the castle of Mazerolles!
Take the grassy path to the left, skirt the house on the left then continue to the D149. Stay on the D149 along the field for 100 meters.

After the bend, at the end of the field, turn left to take a path that climbs steeply to La Loubière.
After the farm, take the road on the left, then left again on the road which descends to Puech d'Auzou. Stay on the main road which descends in hairpins to the D39.
Turn right, cross Mazerolles, a pretty village with a magnificent castle.
Continue on the D39, pass in front of the small cemetery and walk to the next intersection.
Turn left towards Singlarie / Les Gardes, continue on this road then turn left towards Les Gardes / La Farie.
Follow this paved road which descends for 2,5 km to the hamlet of Pontet (small village of chalets belonging to the municipality).
Arrived at the D39, turn right then immediately right towards the river. At the corner of the municipal swimming pool, turn left and follow the river to return to the Frégère bridge.
Cross the Frégère bridge as on the way out and return to the entrance to the campsite or to the outdoor base to pick up your vehicle.
