Your itinerary
Stage 1: Departure from the bottom of the village of Najac, Pont de la Frégère or SNCF station
Departure from the wilderness base – AAGAC if you have rented a bike.
Departure from Camping le Païsserou if you are staying there.
Otherwise, park along the D39 between the campsite entrance and the Frégère bridge.
Take the entrance to the campsite, opposite reception, turn right then take the iron footbridge to cross the Aveyron.
Step 2: Direction the Saint-Blaise bridge

At the end of the footbridge, the municipal swimming pool is on your right, take the tarmac road on the left until you reach the stone bridge, the Saint Blaise bridge, cross it.
Step 3: Follow the river to the SNCF bridge crossing the Aveyron

After the bridge, do not take the first path on the right (return path) but the second intersection on the right.
It is an asphalt road at the beginning which will then transform into an ever-wide track up to the Grèzes bridge. This bridge allows trains to cross the Aveyron river.
You will follow the river until there and pass near old mills: firstly that of Auribal then that of Ferragut (in ruins now).
Step 4: Return to the Saint Blaise bridge

At the Grèzes bridge, turn around. After passing the Auribal mill, take the first track on the left to follow the river as closely as possible and pass through the vegetable gardens.
On your right there is a beautiful view of the church and the royal fortress of Najac.
Step 5: Return to your starting point

Arriving at the Saint Blaise bridge, do not cross the bridge, cross the road and take the small path opposite which goes down and which allows you to follow the river through a field.
Please remain discreet, this section is private; the owner accepts the passage of hikers and cyclists.
Continue going up the river, left bank until you arrive at the nature base.
Drive slowly because there are lots of people there, especially many children on the site.
Cross the base, pass the restaurant, the campsite reception and take the small road that goes up.
Return to your parking location.
