Description
4000 years of history, beliefs, tales, legends... From those ancient times when our ancestors invented the modern world, these immutable vestiges of human passion bear witness. Heavy blocks weighing several tons, mysterious burials in the shade of large oaks, the dolmens have survived the centuries and stand out as evidence of their incomparable majesty.

For information: from the town of Foissac, the circuit takes 1 km of road before arriving in the woods where the dolmens are located.
Your itinerary
Stage 1: Departure from the cave of Foissac
Take the small road to Mas de Garric, then that to Jonade E. Join the D87 on the left for 200 m, follow the small path to the left surrounded by low walls and enter the woods. You will see 2 remains of dolmens with lying slabs (Jonade 1 and 2), a caselle, etc. Cross the woods for 600 m.
Step 2: In the oak woods
Follow the D87 to the left for about 450 m, take the small path on the right (Y-intersection) and cross the Causse meadows to the Cloup de Rhines dolmen (right and left supports visible). Take the path on the right following the markings, pass between the trees (passage between protected wires), follow the path for 200 m, then turn left to go into the oak woods. Straight ahead, you will be able to admire 2 dolmens one after the other, one of which is extremely well preserved. Follow the arrows to continue to the 2 caselles (you can see the bottom slab of a dolmen on your right).
Step 3: From step to caselles
To admire the caselles, one of them being extremely well preserved, pass between the protected fence wires. Return to the original path and proceed through the woods. The path climbs, you can, moving away a little, admire a new caselle on the left. A few meters further, take on the right and follow the dirt road which will lead you to a wide stone path.
Step 4: Return to starting point
To continue the route, turn left and go up the path to the road at Mas de Pâle then turn right to reach the place called Jonade. Turn left (D87) for 100 meters and right to join Jonade E as far as the small road to Mas de Garric to find your starting point.
