Description
This circuit is partly composed of small, quiet roads and tree-lined paths along the Serène. Not very difficult. Two pretty viewpoints on the circuit: the first on the Crémades road and the second on the Crouzet plateau. Be respectful, keep your dogs on a leash when you are walking along a field where a herd is grazing.
This loop has been marked as PR Yellow by the Town Hall of La Fouillade.
Your itinerary
Step 1: Departure in front of the school
Departure from rue de La Fontaine, go down towards the lake of Saubayre, go around the lake on your right, after the small bridge follow on your right the path which goes up into the chestnut grove, continue on the path which will take you to Roustaniés. Go down and follow the road to La Coste.
Step 2: From Crouzet to La Sagette
Go to the hamlet, cross the D922 towards Le Crouzet then La Jalade. Take the path on your right across the fields, then right to the hamlet of Cayrou. Continue to the D922, cross and take the path then on your left the path that goes down towards La Sagette.
Step 3: Head towards Le Moulinet and La Serène
Join the D922 on your left (watch out for cars!!). Cross towards the Moulinet mill. Follow the Sérène until the D69. Turn left, and after the house, take the path on the left towards La Jalade. Do not go through the farm, turn left after the stream. Continue until the intersection of the path that goes up towards La Jalade and the Crouzet plateau. Continue until the intersection of the road to the Roman cross, turn left then the path on your right after the bend.
