Since its acclaimed first edition in 2024, the Opéra Bastide Festival has transformed Villefranche-de-Rouergue into an open-air operatic stage. In the exceptional setting of its Italian-style Theatre, as well as in its streets, cloisters, and chapels, the festival combines opera, musicals, concerts, and original creations.
Led by a passionate team, with the soprano Edwige Bourdy at its helm for the 2025 edition, Opéra Bastide promotes young talents, international artists and local heritage.
Accessible to all, the festival also offers free events, entertainment in the city and masterclasses open to the public.
