What if, for one evening, you crossed the border between the world of men and the world of legends?
From the heart of the village of Najac, we will gradually leave behind the narrow streets and old stones to venture into a forest typical of our region. Under the canopy of trees, the atmosphere gradually changes: the sounds of the village fade away, giving way to the whispers of the wind in the leaves and the secrets of the forest.
Along the way, I will tell you the legends and stories that populate these woods. Who are the mysterious inhabitants of the forest? What fantastic beings hide in the wildest corners? Between folk tales and local imagination, we will set off to discover a heritage as rich as it is enchanting.
But the forest also knows how to tell real stories to those who take the time to observe it. I will introduce you to the basics of animal tracking: how to recognize a footprint, identify a trail, or interpret the clues left by the discreet inhabitants of these places. These are all keys to learning how to read nature like an open book.
Our walk will also lead us to several fountains nestled in the heart of the undergrowth. These cool and mysterious places are said to be home to small dragons watching over their crystal-clear waters. Perhaps we'll catch a glimpse of their presence…
