Vincent Crouzet's lecture
What does it mean to be a spy? How does one live undercover? What methods are used to infiltrate enemy networks or carry out missions in a war zone? Through these fascinating questions, Vincent Crouzet will share aspects of his experience as a former clandestine agent for the DGSE (France's external intelligence agency), serving his country. He offers us an unusual perspective on the world of foreign intelligence, where actions sometimes operate outside the bounds of legality, driven by interests that blend geostrategy and greed. Years of extraordinary commitment behind the scenes of history…
Vincent CROUZET holds a Diploma from the Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) of Grenoble.
He pursued a military career, starting from a reserve officer training school, within the external services, and more specifically the missions service of the DGSE in southern Africa. He carried out his activities there for years, undertaking confidential missions for the French government.
He then pursued a career as a writer, notably authoring several spy novels; he also worked as a commentator on TF1, specializing in geopolitics and intelligence. His latest book, *The Day I Became a Spy*, was published in February 2026.
