Men and women of all ages deliver anecdotes and testimonies about the hidden side of their status as parents. The viewer is thus plunged into the heart of a reality made of happiness, anger, pride, pain...
Parents' Words is structured like a life cycle: there are dreams and projections, then the time of gestation, childbirth, the first months, then education and adolescence followed by adulthood and finally the third age.
Four actors play around thirty characters who cross paths around a public bench during comic, tender or dramatic stories in a realistic atmosphere tinged with poetry. A little girl, the common thread of the story, comes punctually to deliver her fantasized vision of the mother she will become when she grows up.
