Setmanas occitanas – Festibal

Saturday, February 28 at 21:00 p.m.

Salle des fêtes de la Madeleine Avenue du 8 mai ZI les Gravasses 12200 Villefranche-de-Rouergue

With Duo Artense, Licotissa and Boullig Ruz.

DUO ARTENSE

Basile Brémaud: violin / Hervé Capel: chromatic accordion.

Having spent years performing together on the dance scene, these two friends know each other as well as the deeply rooted music they so beautifully honor. A dynamic duo creating subtle and rhythmic music born on the Artense plateau. Basile and Hervé achieve a paradoxical feat: appropriating (sometimes with humor, a musical humor that is the antithesis of derision) a style of music and melodies while remaining true to them. Their approach is simply based on their love for this music.

LICOTISSA

Mathilde Duffau: three-hole flute, tambourine, vocals, caramèra / Anne-Lise Herbel: diatonic accordion, clarinet, vocals.

Licotissa (meaning "treat" in Gascon) is a duo deeply rooted in Gascony whose guilty pleasure is dance music. Primarily fond of various forms of rondeaux, Mathilde and Anne-Lise also readily enjoy other dances, whether from Gascony or elsewhere. As a sweet treat, they will share their repertoire, blending tradition and original compositions, and you can dance until you're completely satisfied.

BOULLIG RUZ

Seven musicians playing various instruments: bombarde, violin, mandolin, oboe, clarinet, diatonic accordion, and percussion, as well as singing in French and Breton. Boullig Ruz is a Breton dance music group from the Vannes-Auray region of southern Brittany. Founded in 1999 by Dominique Robin, Didier Gatinel, and Jean-Michel Pancrace, their repertoire spans both Lower and Upper Brittany.
