Anaïs Duplan proposes to create a work evoking The timeline based on two textile art techniques, strip weaving and trimmings.
In the minds of quipus pre-Columbians, you will create a data system that records certain events over time. You will evoke a slice of life (yours, a loved one, a chosen person, a civilization, humanity, etc.) marked by strong or determining events in its evolution, and above all recurring.
The recurrence of its events will constitute the content of a data system that you will materialize in the form of a “temporal ribbon” woven with the cardboard weaving technique and punctuated with trimmings elements that you will manufacture. The type of events that you decide to include will guide you in the choice of materials and set the tone of your work: light, absurd, realistic, committed...
