This exhibition borrows its name from this audiovisual function aimed at rapidly scrolling a recording medium in the opposite direction to reading.
In the form of a chronological frieze, Retour Rapide allows artists to approach the dilation of time, the ellipse, and the sedimentation of representations, by focusing as much on long temporalities as on fleeting events.
+Celie Falieres is interested in geological, archaeological and folk time. In the form of installations combining video, sculptures, found objects and images, she presents a material culture that is both fictional and familiar.
+The duo Mazaccio & Drowilal proposes two sequenced installations including photographs, collages and murals, which question the formation of identity through media images, as well as the condition of the artist and the artistic gesture.
* "The End of History and the Last Man" is an essay by American political scientist Francis Fukuyama published in 1992. The author asserts that the end of the Cold War marks the ideological victory of democracy and liberalism over others political ideologies. The end of history does not mean, according to him, the absence of conflicts, but rather the absolute and definitive supremacy of the ideal of liberal democracy, which would constitute an unsurpassable horizon.
