Rando spectacles par La Barréjaire

Sunday 23 June
2336 route de la gare 12260 Villeneuve
Music, hiking, storytelling and dancing are on the program for this day!

On the occasion of the inauguration of the micro museum of lime kilns and as part of the country and mill heritage days.

09:50 a.m.: Meet in front of the green space bookstore, 18 Boulevard Cardalhac in Villeneuve.

The course is 5.5km, medium difficulty and will be interspersed with music and a storytelling and dancing tour.

Rébiscla proposes to revive “Lou Poïssèl”, a poem in Occitan by Pierre Savignac. Borrowing from various registers (sacred song, work song, drinking song, waltz, drunken song, etc.), the duo reveals all the relevance of this text which, from the classic theme of the vine, weaves the metaphor of the links allowing life to be together to deploy (listen to on banlaba.bandcamp.com)

The Empartance company will guide your steps through the quarry and lime kilns of La Mixeuse with a narrated and danced visit based on the testimony of Charles Davet, a former worker at the factory.

12:30 p.m.: Leïla and Arthur concoct some delicacies for us to recover from the walk.

12€ starter/main course/dessert – 20€ hike-shows + meal

Please note, full meal in pre-sale only! Meeting on helloasso.com/associations/la-barrejaire

15h: the Barréjaire association will unveil in a friendly atmosphere its MICRO-Museum of lime kilns, in its beta version, as well as the adjoining bluterie, just eco-renovated!

Thanks to the support of the departmental council, the regional council, the State and the personal donation of a benefactress, the Barréjaire team was able to create educational panels on the history of the ovens, the quarries and the manufacturing of lime as well as the recording of testimonies from former workers or residents and the rehabilitation of the old factory's bluterie into an activity room open to all.
