OLYMPIC SWIMMING POOL
Olympic swimming pool, Xavier Camarasa / Laurent Paris. Swimming pool because you have to jump into the water, directly for the desire, and Olympic because the raw energy goes the distance. Our aim is insubordination to any form of control or prerogative. The preamble is freedom as the basis of all speech. We recorded our first album in the Pyrenees mountains which have a very special place in our respective lives and which constantly influence the evolution of our musical practice. The combination of our two instruments, rarely seen or heard as a duo, is expressed by a succession of counterpoints and alert and bubbling rhythmic pulsations. The two hands of the pianist travel and clear the terrain of the Fender Rhodes like a pioneer looking for gold in the deep waters of a torrent while the banter of the drummer calls out to his skins like a shepherd gathering his flock, all of this fed on rock, jazz, contemporary or trance music.
