Whether on frescoes from Ancient Greece, on Etruscan vases, in medieval art, on Native American and North African weavings, or on a woolen sweater, a tapestry, or a rug; the patterns are in many ways fascinating to observe, and make you want to understand their composition and unravel their mysteries. This workshop will aim to create a pattern in cut paper and will take place in 4 stages:

- introduction to a variety of figurative and abstract motifs from various eras and cultures

- use of different forms and counter-forms to create a rhythm

- study of color combinations and the impressions they produce

- choice and decoration of a medium (cardboard box, glass, etc.)
