Istòria d'un sauvatjòt is an autobiographical story told from a child's perspective. A child who discovers the world, step by step: the family home, the neighbours, the world of school, the joys and the sorrows, the first dramas, the daily life lived between two languages, Occitan (under the name patois) and French. Serge Carles shares his journey with us until he entered the École Normale, passing into another universe, in a sensitive and generous autobiographical writing.
