Depending on one's country of origin, being born a girl does not offer the same prospects… This is what Alice Dussutour demonstrates between the pages of her book "Born a Girl" and the portraits of five young girls.
They do not know each other, come from different countries (Nepal, France, Afghanistan, Kenya and Mexico), but their stories resonate with each other.
Each woman denounces the injustices she faces because she was born a girl. With their families and other women, they resist and mobilize to change attitudes and ensure that equality is more than just a word!
Like the book on which it is based, the exhibition provides an opportunity to take stock of essential topics such as menstrual poverty, street harassment, body image pressures, femicides…
