Les rêveurs

Elisabeth, an actress, leads writing workshops at Necker Hospital with teenagers experiencing severe psychological distress. Through her interactions with them, she revisits her own past: her institutionalization at age 14. Little by little, the memories resurface. And with them, the discovery of theater, which one day saved her.

By adapting her autobiographical novel Les rêveurs (Ed. Grasset 2018) for the cinema, Isabelle Carré delivers a personal and sensitive testimony, which aims to bring hope to all those, and especially young people, who experience psychological suffering.

Screening followed by a discussion co-hosted by the Es'pairance collective, the PAEJ and the Compagnie Arc-en-Ciel Théâtre.
