Le Premier Homme par la Cie Fracasse
Sunday, October 11 at 17:00 p.m.
Théâtre des Bastides Quai de la Sénéchaussée 12200 Villefranche-de-Rouergue
Theatre – Comedy
This show addresses a subject that is often discussed and often staged: the relationship between men and women in a couple and, in particular, the place of the woman in it.
In this well-oiled machine, how will a man, accustomed to wielding ideas and language and being listened to (as a philosophy professor), react when he learns that his wife, a businesswoman (and in charge of all the household chores!), has been appointed prime minister? Since there is a First Lady, he will, in a way, become the First Man!
What will his reactions be? Will he admit that he is not superior to his wife as he had always believed? And what about her? How will she assert herself?
Hugues Leforestier, the play's author, plays the male character, and Nathalie Mann takes on the female role. These two actors have achieved great success with the shows "Brigade financière," "Le projet Poutine," and "Danton, Robespierre, les racines de la liberté," which we had the pleasure of hosting in 2023.
One could read in the newspaper La Terrasse: "it stings, it creaks and it rattles in the handle when women get involved".
