Adapted from the children's books Anatole's Little Saucepan by Isabelle Carrié (Bilboquet, 2009) and Four Little Corners of Nothing
The Trouble Théâtre Company is adapting two children's books for the stage: Anatole's Little Saucepan and Four Little Corners of Nothing at All, inviting children to reflect on difference and disability through these two stories. The first is about Anatole, who can never find peace, not even for a short walk. He drags his saucepan around. It's noisy. It gets stuck. It intrigues others. But a "gentle" encounter will change many things… The second is about Little Square, who plays with his friends, the Little Circles. But when it's time for them all to enter the round house with the round door, Little Square can't get in. No matter! He twists. He stretches. He bends. Nothing works, Little Square is… square! Thus begins a long discussion to understand what needs to be changed…
