Saturday February 22
Moulin de Cavaillac 524 route de Cavaillac Cavaillac 12700 Naussac
This 18th century Rouergat water mill will come back to life thanks to you while you make old-fashioned walnut oil.

For 2025, Walnut Oil Day will take place on Saturday February 22.

Around 9 a.m. you bring your already ready kernels and you leave with your oil (in proportion to the quantities brought).

You now know all the instructions:

– You must join the Association for the year, which costs €20 per family.

– Your kernels must already be shelled (10 kg maximum per member),

– Bring containers for your oil, preferably dark bottles for better preservation of the oil.

– Bring warm clothes,

Upon arrival we check and weigh your kernels as we group the different batches of nuts. Everyone can participate in the production of the oil.

During the morning, snack break, where everyone brings something to share because we usually finish in the middle of the afternoon. If you can't stay until the end, we keep your oil at the Mill, in this case put your name on your bottles.

If you don't have any kernels, you can simply visit us to discover or rediscover this know-how. Tell your friends and acquaintances that this may be of interest, they will be welcome, and they will certainly have a good time.

At the end of the day, at 18 p.m., the annual general meeting of the “Coeur de Meule” association is also held at the Moulin.

All members and all people who are interested in our approach or wish to take on responsibilities within the Association are welcome.

We end the day with a STOCKFISH Dinner at the Moulin around 19 p.m., after the AGM.
