A day of introduction to the black bee and gentle, non-transhumant beekeeping with Clémentine L'heryenat.
For the general public, with no prior knowledge required.

Spring is gently settling into Mergieux, and with it, the buzzing of bees and other pollinators is picking up again! Have you always wanted to understand what happens inside a beehive? Are you curious to discover the local black bee, or are you thinking of hosting a beehive one day? Join us!

Trained in traditional beekeeping in the Cévennes, Clémentine L'heryenat works with "Dadant" hives and practices beekeeping without transhumance and with little intervention.
