Fontaine du Griffoul Rue du bourget 12270 Najac

As part of these European Heritage Days, dedicated to the theme of "heritage in peril", the municipality of Najac invites you to discover one of the emblematic elements of its history: the Griffoul fountain.

Dating from the 14th century, carved from a single block of granite, and listed as a historical monument in 1910, the fountain now requires extensive restoration. Discover, based on the preliminary study conducted by Chief Architect of Historical Monuments Jean-Pierre Trabon, the characteristics of this remarkable monument, its history, and the challenges related to its conservation and restoration.
