JEP 2024 – Visite guidée de Najac
Along a rocky ridge, the castle town stretches under the protection of a fortified castle which controlled the Aveyron valley. In the middle of the 13th century, Alphonse de Poitiers took care to build a fortress adapted to the exercise of power and the art of war. The extension of Najac in the 14th and 15th centuries took the form of the development of a new district at the end of the village, along a vast market square.
