Intelligence artificielle : entre promesses et menaces, et l'éthique dans tout ça?
Artificial Intelligence or AI is a field of computing that is increasingly present in our daily lives, from the use of a smartphone or an internet service. It is a set of theories and techniques aimed at creating machines capable of simulating human intelligence.
However, relying on machines and decision support systems, even if it means "augmenting" almost every moment of our lives, raises real questions.
Facial recognition, intelligent assistant, autonomous car, where is artificial intelligence? Will digital progress lead to the replacement of humans by machines for all tasks? Will we let these systems interpret our medical scans or deliver justice? How can we avoid ethical abuses?
Martial MERMILLOD is Director of the Psychology and NeuroCognition Laboratory at the University of Grenoble Alpes. He is also a University Professor and holder of the Core-AI Chair in Artificial Intelligence MIAI. His research themes focus on perception and emotional processes from a perspective combining modeling, psychology and neuroscience. This work is done in collaboration with different institutions (CEA, CNRS, University Hospitals ...) as well as various companies (Eaton, Market Vision, Salomon, Chanel, Clarins...).He is the author of the scientific work Biological and Artificial Neural Networks.
