EXPOSITION : "L’HISTOIRE DU CIRCUIT DE VITESSE INTERNATIONAL DE VILLEFRANCHE-DE-ROUERGUE" – La Manufacture
The exhibition traces the history of racing, that of motorcycles as well as human achievements.
From 1951 to 1958, Villefranche hosted seven motorcycle racing series on an internationally ranked circuit. The 8,952 km long circuit started near the Place du Saint-Jean, went up the Aristide-Briand alleys, continued towards the hamlet of Farrou and turned right to go back down the low road of Farrou. The lap record was set with an average speed of 125 km/h.
