"Their words to say" photography exhibition by Marie Monteiro.

Esma, Gabriel, Louanne, Samaël, and Théa, high school students from La Rochelle with invisible disabilities, participated in an artistic creation project in 2022 alongside the rapper Hippocampe Fou. Living with learning disabilities, these students learned to write, sing, and record their lyrics in a studio, sharing their daily struggle to live with their disabilities and their desire to change perceptions of them. This exhilarating multidisciplinary adventure was documented by independent professional photographer Marie Monteiro, who invites us to discover the portraits of these young artists through this photographic exhibition.

 

Exhibition presented in connection with the screening of the documentary "Their words to say" by Alexandra Riguet, scheduled for Thursday, January 14 at the Ciné Azur-Le Vox cinema in Villefranche-de-Rouergue.
