Exposition : "Les Fantômes du futur" David P – Les Hauts Parleurs

"It all started with a small, damaged canvas picked up on a sidewalk in 2016 or 2017. It depicted a derelict country house, with a well in the foreground, which I spontaneously associated with the film The Ring. With the addition of a translucent ghost emerging from the well, this scene marked the beginning of a series of modified landscapes, collected from garage sales and flea markets. These paintings, often bucolic, evoke places destined to disappear or be transformed.

Through this work, I pay tribute to forgotten landscapes and anonymous artists, sometimes erasing their signature to recreate a new story while respecting their memory. These works question our connection with the past, the degradation of territories and the inevitable reports of the IPCC on the future of these landscapes."
