The year 2023 marks the 80th anniversary of the disappearance of Jean Moulin. To honor his memory, the Prefect of Aveyron is organizing a memorial cycle to pay tribute to him. “Jean Moulin, a life of commitment” quay of the temple.
This translates in Villefranche-de-Rouergue as an open-air exhibition presented until January 10, 2024 on the gates of the Sub-Prefecture.
Produced by Onac and accessible to a wide audience, this exhibition retraces through ten media the life of commitments of this hero of the Resistance who created, under the aegis of General de Gaulle, the National Council of the Resistance in 1943.
The exhibition also recalls that he was Prefect of Aveyron from March 20 to April 26, 1937 and then from April 20, 1938 to January 21, 1939. He was then the youngest prefect of the Republic.
Furthermore, the Manufacture is joining in this tribute by presenting an exhibition, within the media library, which focuses on Jean-Moulin's action for the development of popular aviation, particularly in Villefranche- de-Rouergue, following with kindness and involvement the project to build an aerodrome in Villefranche.
