The Zapatista experience that has been patiently built since January 1, 1994 in southern Mexico is very much alive.

However, it was after the “march for the color of the earth” in 2001 and until today that its most remarkable dimension was consolidated, which the Zapatistas call autonomy.

This is one of the most remarkable utopias that can be discovered today, on a planet delivered to the destructive madness of capitalist productivism.

Since 2001, the Escargot Network has organized itself to distribute in solidarity the coffee produced by the Zapatistas of the Yachil coffee cooperative.

The photos illustrate the daily work of the Zapatistas in the cooperative.
