Two young Algerians, Rachel and Malrich, with an Algerian mother and a German father, have been entrusted to one of their uncles, Tonton Ali, an immigrant in a housing project in the suburbs of Paris. Rachel, an "executive in a big American company" is very well integrated while Malrich mixes with all the "disaster victims" in the project. He has little contact with his elder brother until the day the latter commits suicide in his garage. Why? Malrich will learn little by little...

Boualem Sansal, a French-speaking Algerian writer who is censored in his country but continues to live there, will have to go back in time: the Holocaust, the civil war of 1990 in Algeria, but also the situation in certain Parisian suburbs... The director, Luca Franceschi, will make us experience certain situations but will also read certain passages from the Journal of the Schiller Brothers.

A very moving quest for identity, a fight against oblivion, against negationism, in a refined staging, a great moment of theater therefore in phase with the essential questions of our society.
