Ecomusée de Cuzals : stage découverte : pierre sèche
The result of clearing stones from cultivated plots, so-called "dry stone" constructions (because they do not use any mortar) are particularly endangered elements of our causses. Through this course, learn the art of assembling dry stone masonry, and the different types of construction linked to local resources, from foundations to finishes.
Speaker: Vincent Caussanel
Materials to bring: Gloves and, if possible, safety shoes. Also bring photos of walls in your area or construction sites to explain the multitude of construction methods in our region.
