Presentation
Solo concert on stage with three Persian instruments and a looper.
After training in classical violin, Xavier Uters discovered oriental music with luthier and violinist Mohamed Aris. He was passionate about Iranian music for several years and learned to play kemanch, setar and ney with great Iranian musicians living in France (Bijan Chemirani, Reza Ghassemi, Hossein Oumoumi, Farshad Soltani.)
In "Kemanche Solo", Xavier Uters chooses to work with a looper and traditional Iranian instruments (the kemanche, the setar and the ney) in order to offer a new sound. The program is made up of compositions of quite varied styles: pieces inspired by dance rhythms and the rhythms of the Orient, polyphony in the style of early music, more contemporary improvisations... and all built live thanks to the looper.
The concert will be followed by a friendly moment to get together and discuss: everyone brings a drink or something to snack on!
