Presentation
Introduce your children to the tastes and flavors of medieval cuisine! Were strawberries eaten in the Middle Ages? Was meat reserved for nobles? What is a poree? The cuisine of the Middle Ages is a cuisine of taste, flavors and colors.
In connection with the “Medieval cuisine” exhibition presented at the Maison du Gouverneur-CIAP, children are encouraged to discover the eating and culinary habits of that time. Recipes, food rhythms, specialized trades and spices will allow our apprentice cooks to follow the master chef's instructions and unlock the secrets of medieval kitchens.
