Colloque « La Vertu de Justice »
This conference will be devoted to Justice, from the Renaissance to the classical age. Defined
by ancient philosophers, in particular by Plato and Aristotle, she then made
part of the four cardinal virtues and was at the heart of the thinking of the first
Fathers of the Church, first and foremost Augustine of Hippo. Thomas Aquinas
will define it as "a constant and perpetual desire to give everyone what is necessary for them
belongs."
The conference, like the work that will result from it, will be multidisciplinary and will call upon
to historians, legal historians, art historians, philosophers and
literary.
