Our collective for the promotion of Food Security invites you to a film screening and discussion of "Sur la Paille" (On the Straw). The screening will be followed by a discussion and a potluck dinner.

This committed documentary aims to raise awareness of the benefits of organic farming, highlighting the work of farmers committed to this sustainable system that addresses environmental challenges and promotes access to healthy food, and also warns of the current fragility of organic farming.

Synopsis (film duration: 1 hour 13 minutes):

Four years ago, Olivier realized his dream: opening an organic pig farm in Brittany. But since then, a terrible crisis has hit organic farming and he risks losing everything.
How can we understand that the only agricultural model that preserves the environment and biodiversity is being abandoned, even though the State had encouraged its development?
