2ème Festival "Chorales en Rouergue"

Saturday May 25
Place Notre-Dame 12200 Villefranche-de-Rouergue
Event organized by Générations Mouvement 12 for 2 hours of non-stop concert!

In the first part of the evening, two choirs from Générations Mouvement:

– Savignac, led by its choir director Gilbert Navarro.

– Maison de l’Amitié in Villefranche de Rouergue, led by its choir director Marie-Jo Durand and Serge Hugonnet, accordionist.

Then in the second part:

– A group of Pyrenees singers from Bigorre “Qu’em ço qui em”.

In our old Occitan language, “Qu’em ço qui em” means “We are what we are”. A very broad and limitless evocation of our group of friends and singers from Bigorre who, since 2006, have evolved according to traditional and polyphonic songs, embracing our Pyrenees mountains and our land of Oc from one end to the other. The record doesn’t stop there. He crosses many other foreign borders, visits French song, makes a detour into religious spirituality to sometimes end very late with party tunes inviting conviviality. In short... A patchwork of songs that allows a large audience to get to know us, some to recognize us but everyone to reflect back to us, through our encounters, the image of "what we are".
